AB 1532 – Natalie Giorgi Sunshine Act

Assemblymember Bauer-Kahan AB 1532 – Natalie Giorgi Sunshine Act

I've heard so many stories from families whose children face severe food allergies - and while many people are able to live their lives free from allergens, for these families it is a deadly serious matter. That's part of the reason why I introduced AB 1532- to honor of Natalie Giorgi, a 13 year old who tragically passed away due to a severe reaction to a peanut allergy while at a summer camp, and to help make sure that the tragedy never happens again. AB 1532 will protect individuals with severe food allergies by requiring all food handlers to have a simple certification in safe food handling practices for major food allergens. One simple training could literally save lives. I hope you will help us spread the word about this incredible cause and help to honor Natalie.
