Every day in America, lives are cut short by senseless acts of gun violence. Our children are growing up in a world where they regularly see school shootings on the news and wonder if their school might be the next. Since taking office last year, common sense gun safety legislation has been one of my highest priorities and that is why I would like to invite you to my Community Forum on Gun Safety. I will be joined by two fearless leaders in the fight to end gun violence, Congressman Eric Swalwell and Shannon Watts, founder of the grassroots movement Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America. I hope you will join us for a meaningful conversation on how we can work together to create a future free from gun violence.
