The Office of Assemblymember Bauer-Kahan will have a virtual Summer internship for the Summer of 2021.
Thank you for your interest in an internship with the District Office of California State Assemblymember Rebecca Bauer-Kahan. The window to submit a Summer internship application will be open April 5 and close May 3rd, 11:59pm.
We are looking for motivated, collaborative individuals interested in handling many different responsibilities in our district office including – working with constituents, policy research, conducting community outreach efforts, casework, working with databases, organizing civic events, and staffing the office. Internships are open to rising high school juniors, rising high school seniors, rising college freshmen, college upperclassmen, and other persons interested in learning about working in a state office. Internships with the Assembly are unpaid and will begin June 14, 2021, and conclude on August 9, 2021.
Internship Applications: If you previously applied, we ask that you submit a new application as your circumstances may have changed. Summer interns commit to spending a minimum of 15 hours per week as an intern, working for the District Office; we will have a morning cohort and an afternoon cohort, 3 hours each, daily, Monday through Friday. The exact hours and which cohort interns will be assigned are to be determined by staff.
