The Office of Assemblymember Bauer-Kahan will have a hybrid Fall internship for the Fall of 2021.
Thank you for your interest in an internship with the District Office of California State Assemblymember Rebecca Bauer-Kahan. The window to submit a internship application will be open August 2nd 2021, and close August 30th, 11:59 pm.
We are looking for motivated, collaborative individuals interested in handling many different responsibilities in our district office including – working with constituents, policy research, conducting community outreach efforts, casework, working with databases, organizing civic events, and staffing the office. Internships are open to high school seniors, high school graduates, college students, and other persons, 18 years or older, interested in learning about working in a state legislator’s office. Internships with the Assembly are unpaid and the fall internship will begin September 13, 2021, and conclude on November 15, 2021.
Internship Applications: If you previously applied, we ask that you submit a new application as your circumstances may have changed; please use the webform below to apply. Fall interns commit to spending a minimum of 5 hours per week as an intern, working for the District Office; we expect all interns to work in the office (as allowed by public health regulations) at least one day a week. The exact hours of the internship will differ for each intern, based on their schedules, and will be determined by staff.

In addition, finalists selected to be interviewed will be tasked with a brief research and writing exercise. We will not consider applications that are sent to our office via email or postal mail.
