This week, California began the process of vaccine distribution, which is a huge step forward in our COVID-19 response. Many people still have questions about the vaccine itself and about the distribution plan of that vaccine. I would like to invite you to join my town hall featuring Professor Sarah Stanley, an infectious disease expert and faculty member at the UC Berkeley School of Public Health, and Dr. Ori Tzivieli, a Health Officer with Contra Costa County Health Services. They will be giving information about the vaccine and the distribution strategy as well as answering your pressing questions.
COVID-19 Vaccine Town Hall
Sunday, December 20th
6 PM - 7 PM
The Zoom link will be sent to those who RSVP and an archive of the Town Hall will be uploaded to my website and social media. Please send in your questions using the subject line "Vaccine Town Hall" to Assemblymember.Bauer-Kahan@asm.ca.gov ahead of time.
The town hall will be an excellent opportunity to learn more about the vaccine and get clarity on misconceptions. However, I also wanted to alert you to the State of California COVID-19 vaccination webpage, which has up-to-date information and FAQs. In addition, the Federal Trade Commission has released an advisory on ways to avoid vaccine related scams.
You are also welcome to reach out to my staff at any time if you have questions, concerns, or are in need of assistance. You can do so at the email above or by calling 925-328-1515.
