Drive for Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano

Dear Neighbor,

Happy Holidays! I hope you and your families are having a joyous holiday season full of light and warmth.

This year, in order to give back and help support families across the area, I am hosting a contactless, drive-through donation collection to support our community. We will be collecting donations of non-perishable food for the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano to support their critical food distribution program that helps feed many people in our county. The food bank has specifically requested the following food items: peanut butter, whole grain cereals, hearty low sodium soup, beans and lentils, canned tuna and chicken in water, canned fruit in juice, whole wheat and whole grain pasta, and canned tomato products.

If you want to go a step further, feel free to leave a bin outside your home and invite your neighbors to drop off food that you can bring to the day of the drive. Community members have done this to great results in our previous drives!
