Important Update (October 2025)
CalFresh benefits are delayed in November 2025 due to the federal government shutdown. President Trump and Congress have not reopened the government or provided additional funding.
What You Need to Know
- Your current EBT card will still work with existing benefits through the shutdown
- October benefits are funded and available as normal
- November benefits are delayed - no specific date yet for when they will be issued
- Continue to submit all required forms (SAR 7, recertifications) as normal, but expect processing delays
- State hearings cannot restart November benefits at this time due to lack of federal funding
