Sacramento, CA – Yesterday, Assemblymember Rebecca Bauer-Kahan’s (D-Orinda) bill, AB 1356, passed off the Assembly Floor with a party line vote of 59-17.
Sacramento, CA – Assemblymember Rebecca Bauer-Kahan’s (D-Orinda) landmark mental health emergency crisis response legislation, AB 988, The Miles Hall Lifeline and Suicide Prevention Act, passed off the Assembly floor today with a vote of 70-0.
Legislation introduced today will transform the way California responds to mental health emergencies to ensure those in crisis receive the urgent care they need.
AB 529 would require that electrical utilities like PG&E give 48 hours’ notice to local fire districts when conducting potentially dangerous maintenance in high fire-risk areas
AB 439 would codify inclusive gender identity options on death certificates, bringing these documents in line with California’s existing nonbinary options on driver’s licenses and birth certificates.
AB 427 would allow home and car battery owners to feed excess power into the state’s grid during peak usage preventing blackouts and excess fossil fuel emissions, and AB 426 would create new air pollution data measurements in order to reduce toxic pollutants
AB 378 would replace all outdated language in the California Government Code that refers to constitutional officers with the male pronouns “he/his” with gender neutral language
The Utility Accountability and Wildfire Prevention Act of 2021 (AB 21) will allow local authorities to bring actions against electrical companies who fail to comply with safety regulations
